Designing A Meeting - 2
There is always a strong temptation, when planning meetings to rush into planning activities - the aim of this chapter is to help you resist it. The house template is one of our tools designed to help you to make your process visible and support you to stay focused.
How The House Template Works
Inputs The ideas, concerns, attitudes, moods, issues, desires, plans views and context of the people who will be attending.
Outputs The desired ideas, moods, views, hopes, plans and attitudes of people when they leave.
Purpose The over arching reason for coming together. What will be different because this meeting took place, transforming the inputs into desired outputs?
Activities The set of actions, discussions, activities, information sharing and work which will produce the purpose and achieve outputs
Graphic Facilitation & Recording We have used many processes throughout our years of designing and facilitating meetings. The main body of the book has a number of proven process designs to help you get ideas and develop your own meeting designs.
